• The 20th-ranked Baylor Bears (16-4, 3-3) will defend its highest national ranking of the season Wednesday when it hosts the Iowa State Cyclones (13-8, 2-4) in the Ferrell Center.
• Wednesday is the 19th series meeting between Baylor and Iowa State — and the first series meeting with Baylor ranked in the Top 25.
• Iowa State leads the all-time series, 11-7, and has won four of the last six meetings.
• Baylor is 14-25 (.359) in 39 regular season games against the Big 12 North in the Scott Drew era.
• Baylor has established a new single-season school record with 150 blocked shots.
• Baylor has made at least one 3-point field goal in 571 consecutive games — the second-longest active streak in the Big 12 (Texas).

STREAKS ARE MADE TO BE SET (AND BROKEN)
• Baylor has been ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll for four consecutive weeks — the second-longest streak in program history.
• BU established a Ferrell Center record this season with 11 consecutive home wins. The win streak was snapped Jan. 26 vs. Kansas State.
• Baylor snapped its 30-game losing streak to Oklahoma with a 91-60 rout Jan. 9 in Waco.
• Less than a year after snapping its 24-game series losing streak to Texas, Baylor snapped an 11-game losing streak to the Longhorns in Austin with an 80-77 OT win Jan. 30.
• Baylor has won 15 or more games in four consecutive seasons for just the second time in school history.
• LaceDarius Dunn scored 20 or more points in four consecutive games (Jan. 9-20, 2010).
• Tweety Carter scored 20 or more points in three consecutive games two different times (Nov. 29-Dec. 15, 2009; Jan. 23, 2010-present).
• Carter has made a 3-point field goal in 15 consecutive games.
• Ekpe Udoh is the only Bear who has recorded at least one assist in all 20 games this season.

NEW YEAR YIELDS BETTER FREE THROW SHOOTING
• As a team, Baylor’s free throw shooting has improved drastically over the course of the season, especially since the start of 2010.
• In 11 games before the new year, Baylor was shooting 62.4 percent (148-of-237) from the free throw line with only player — Tweety Carter (82.6 percent) — shooting better than 80 percent.
• In their first nine games of 2010, the Bears are shooting 78.7 percent (144-of-183) from the free throw line with four players shooting 80 percent or better — LaceDarius Dunn (88.6), Anthony Jones (83.3), Carter (82.1) and Ekpe Udoh (80.5 percent).
• Udoh, Jones and Quincy Acy have all produced much improved free throw percentages. Udoh has improved his free throw shooting by 22 percentage points from 58.0 percent (29-of-50) in 2009 to 80.5 percent (33-of-41) in 2010. Jones has seen his shooting improve by more than 30 points from 52.6 percent (10-of-19) to 83.3 percent (10-of-12). Acy’s free throw percentage has jumped from 50.0 percent (11-of-22) in the first 11 games to 70.0 percent (14-of-20) over the last nine contests.
