#THECARDIACBEARS
Baylor's 64-60 win Feb. 4 at Oklahoma State was the fifth time this season that the Bears made the game-tying, go-ahead or game-winning basket in the final 3 minutes of regulation or overtime.
Four of those five belong to PG Pierre Jackson, who has five go-ahead, game-tying or game-winning plays to his credit this season. In Baylor's 83-80 OT win Dec. 23 vs. West Virginia, Jackson's 3-pointer with 27 seconds left in the second half tied the game and ultimately forced overtime. Five days later, Jackson provided the game-winning layup with 28 seconds left to give Baylor a 54-52 win Dec. 28 vs. Mississippi State.
In Big 12 play, Jackson has drained both a go-ahead (Jan. 28 vs. Texas, 2:36 remaining) and a game-winning (Feb. 1 at Texas A&M, 17 seconds left) 3-pointer.
Quincy Acy's layup (assist from Jackson) with 1:29 remaining in the second half put Baylor up for good en route to a 64-60 road win Feb. 4 at Oklahoma State.
#CLUTCH IN CLOSE GAMES
Baylor entered the season with a sub-.500 record in games decided by 5 points or fewer in the Scott Drew era. This season, Baylor is 7-1 in such games with six wins coming away from home.
