IRVING, Texas - The 21st-ranked Baylor Bears (24-6, 11-5 Big 12) will be the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship. The tournament will be played March 10-13 at Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo.
Baylor, picked 10th in the Big 12 preseason poll, earned a first-round bye and will face the winner of No. 6 Texas and No. 11 Iowa State in the quarterfinals March 11 at 8:30 p.m. CST on ESPN2. Kansas (29-2) finished 15-1 in league play and will be the No. 1 seed in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship. Kansas State (No. 2 seed) and Texas A&M (No. 4 seed) also earned first-round byes in the championship.
The No. 3 seed is Baylor's highest tournament seed in the Big 12 era and its highest since earning a No. 2 seed in the 1988 Southwest Conference Postseason Classic.

In addition, exclusive postgame coverage of the championship trophy ceremony can be found on Saturday night, March 13. The entire Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship will be televised either regionally or nationally by the Big 12 Network, ESPN or ESPN2. All Big 12 Network games will also be available on ESPN Full Court or ESPN360.com.
