STORY LINES
• No. 4 seed Baylor (26-6) will face regular-season conference champion Kansas (27-5) in the semifinals of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship. Friday’s first semifinal will tip at 6:30 p.m. CST on ESPNU and the Big 12 Network.
• Baylor is making its fourth Big 12 Championship semifinal appearance; the Bears are 1-2 in their previous three semifinal games.
• Baylor and Kansas will meet in the Big 12 Championship for just the second time. In 2009, then-No. 9 seed Baylor upset No. 1 seed Kansas in the Big 12 Championship quarterfinals in Oklahoma City.
• Baylor is the No. 4 seed for the first time in Big 12 Championship history — its second-highest tournament seed in the Big 12 era. In 2010, Baylor was the No. 3 seed after finishing the regular season tied for second.

• Friday marks the 21st series meeting and the 19th in the Big 12 era. Kansas leads the series 18-2.
• Baylor and Kansas are meeting in the Big 12 Championship for only the second time. In 2009, ninth-seeded Baylor upset top-seeded Kansas in the quarterfinals, 71-64, in Oklahoma City.
• Baylor will face a nationally ranked Kansas team for the 19th consecutive meeting; it will be the 12th meeting with the Jayhawks ranked in the Top 10.

SERIES NOTES: Baylor’s first series win came on ESPN Big Monday in 2001, upsetting then No. 6 Kansas 85-77 ...
