STORY LINES
• No. 4 seed Baylor (27-6) and No. 2 seed Missouri (29-4) will square off in the finals of the 2012 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship. Saturday’s final will tip at 5 p.m. CST on ESPN.
• Baylor is vying for its first conference title since 1950. Baylor has won only five conference championships in program history — 1932, 1946, 1948, 1949 and 1950 (all in the Southwest Conference).
• Saturday will be a rematch of the 2009 Big 12 Championship finale; No. 3 seed Missouri ended No. 9 seed Baylor’s Cinderella run with a 73-60 victory in Oklahoma City.
• Baylor is 0-3 in conference tournament title games — 0-2 in Southwest Conference (1987, 1988) and 0-1 in Big 12 (2009).
• Baylor and Missouri will meet in the Big 12 Championship for only the third time.
• Saturday marks the 26th series meeting, the 20th in the Big 12 era and the final series meeting at Big 12 Conference rivals. Missouri leads the series 15-10 and has won five of the last six meetings.

BAYLOR LOOKING FOR FIRST CONFERENCE TITLE SINCE 1950
• Playing in only its fourth conference tournament title game in program history, Baylor is seeking to end its 62-year conference championship drought Saturday against Missouri.
• Baylor has never won a conference tournament title and hasn’t won a conference championship (regular season or tournament) since 1950. All five of Baylor’s conference titles were as a member of the Southwest Conference.

Last month in Waco, Pierre Jackson dished out a career-high 15 assists which tied the Big 12 record for assists in a conference game and tied for the fourth-most ever by a Big 12 player in any game ... Jackson’s 15 assists were the sixth-most in a single game in program history (most by a Baylor player in the Big 12 era) and the most since Nelson Haggerty had 18 in 1995 ... Freshman Quincy Miller had a career-high 29 points against Mizzou ... Scott Drew is 4-9 all-time against Missouri.

• No. 5/5 Missouri is Baylor’s eighth Top 25 opponent of the 2011-12 season. Baylor’s 81-72 Big 12 semifinal win Friday against No. 3/3 Kansas snapped its nine-game losing streak to Top 10 teams. It was Baylor’s first win vs. a Top 10 team since Jan. 30, 2010, an 80-77 OT win at No. 6 Texas.
• Baylor’s win over No. 3 Kansas was vs. its highest ranked opponent (AP Poll) since 1990 — an 82-77 win over No. 3 Arkansas.
• Baylor has never defeated Top 10 opponents in back-to-back games.
