WACO, Texas - Baylor men's basketball has signed Kobe Eubanks to a National Letter of Intent, head coach Scott Drew announced Tuesday. Eubanks will join the team prior to the 2014-15 season and will have four years of eligibility.

A 6-foot-5, 212-pound guard from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Eubanks finished his prep career playing for Rev. Ron Stelzer at Our Savior New American School in Centereach, N.Y. He's listed as a four-star recruit by ESPN and ranked No. 5 among prep players in New York and No. 21 in the East region.

"Kobe is blessed with a scoring mentality, and he's one of the better scorers and 3-point shooters in this class," head coach Scott Drew said. "He comes from a private Christian school, where he's well-liked both on and off the court, and he'll be a great fit for our program and a great representative of Baylor University."

Eubanks averaged 18.5 points while leading Our Savior New American to a 24-3 record as a senior in 2013-14. He scored in double figures in 25 of 27 games, including 13 games with at least 20 points and a pair of 30-point games. He also hit at least one 3-pointer in all 27 games and knocked down multiple treys in 24 of 27 contests.

Eubanks played his first three years of high school basketball at American Heritage School in Plantation, Fla., before heading to New York for his senior year. While at AHS, Eubanks was named MVP of the 2013 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "Stop the Violence" Basketball Classic after posting 18 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists in a 61-56 win.

The addition of Eubanks gives Baylor a trio of prep players in its 2014-15 signing class, including Damiyne Durham (Oakwood, Texas) and T.J. Maston (DeSoto, Texas), as well as junior college All-American Lester Medford (Tucson, Ariz.).
