DALLAS - Curtis Jerrells, the third-leading scorer in Baylor men's basketball history with 1,820 points, is one of 12 players included on the 2009 Dallas Mavericks NBA Summer League roster, the organized announced Monday.

Jerrells is one of eight rookies on the Mavericks summer roster, including Rodrigue Beaubois (Guadeloupe), Nick Calathes (Florida), Shan Foster (Vanderbilt), Ahmad Nivins (Saint Joseph's) and Alfred Aboya (UCLA). Four players with NBA experience round out the roster - Aaron Miles, Luke Jackson, Mickael Gelabale and Andre Brown.

The Austin, Texas, native, became the first player in Baylor history to lead the team in scoring and assists all four seasons. He finished his stellar college career ranked in the top five of the several career categories, including wins (tied, 1st), games played (1st), games started (1st), minutes played (1st), 3-point field goals made (tied, 2nd), assists (2nd), steals (2nd), points (3rd), free throws made (3rd), minutes per game (tied, 5th) and field goals made (5th). As a senior, Jerrells was a third-team All-Big 12 selection by the league's coaches and the media. A Senior CLASS Award finalist, he was later named to the NIT All-Tournament Team.

Twenty-one NBA teams, including the 2009 NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers, will compete in this year's NBA Summer League presented by EA SPORTS in a 55-game schedule. The summer league will take place July 10-19 at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of UNLV.

The Mavericks will play five games, beginning with their opening contest versus the Milwaukee Bucks Friday, July 10 at 9 p.m. CDT. The Mavs' schedule continues against the Houston Rockets July 11 at 9 p.m. CDT, the Phoenix Suns July 13 at 5 p.m. CDT and the Cleveland Cavaliers July 16 at 9 p.m. CDT. The schedule concludes with a game versus the Oklahoma City Thunder July 18 at 3 p.m. EDT. All five of Dallas' games will be played at the COX Pavilion.
