WACO, Texas - Baylor will host 2011 NCAA Sweet Sixteen participant San Diego State on Tue., Nov. 15, at 1 p.m. CT on ESPN as part of ESPN's fourth annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.

The 2011-12 season marks the third time Baylor will be included in ESPN's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon Presented by Disney Parks, with the Bears victorious in their previous two appearances - 90-55 vs. Centenary in 2008 and 74-64 vs. La Salle in 2010.

This year's marathon will include 19 live games - 17 men's and two women's - in a minimum of 25 hours across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3.com, highlighted by ESPN's 11 game telecasts and a special one-hour College GameDay Driven by State Farm. ESPN3.com will offer two exclusive games as well as a simulcast of every ESPN and ESPN2 telecast. ESPN will televise nine consecutive games, tipping off every two hours beginning at midnight ET with Washington State and Gonzaga.

Baylor is one of nine teams in ESPN.com senior college basketball Andy Katz's early men's preseason top 25 poll will participate in this year's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon - No. 2 Kentucky, No. 3 Ohio State, No. 4 Syracuse, No. 5 Duke, No. 8 Memphis, No. 12 Florida, No. 16 Baylor, No. 18 Kansas and No. 25 Gonzaga.

This will be the fifth series meeting with San Diego State holding a 3-1 advantage. In the last series meeting, Baylor posted a 76-62 semifinal win in the 2009 NIT in New York City. The Bears later lost to Penn State in the NIT championship game.

Baylor will play at least 11 games on the ESPN family of networks during the 2011-12 season. The Bears return four starters from last season's 18-13 squad - seniors Quincy Acy and Anthony Jones, junior A.J. Walton and sophomore Perry Jones III. Led by Acy, Jones, PJ3 and freshman Quincy Miller, Baylor will possess one of the nation's top - and deepest - frontcourts entering the season. The Bears have also added four important pieces to their backcourt - 2011 National Junior College Player of the Year Pierre Jackson, sophomore transfers Brady Heslip (Boston College) and Gary Franklin (Cal) and freshman Deuce Bello.
