CANCUN, Mexico - Baylor faced a tougher opponent in its second and final game of its foreign tour of Cancun, Mexico, but earned another big win with a 91-57 decision over Mexican professional squad Quintana Roo Sunday at Kuchil-Baxal Gymnasium.

For the second straight game junior Henry Dugat led the Bears in scoring, totaling 20 points in the win.

"Tonight's game was a great game for our team in that it simulated a true road game in a sense - playing on their home court in front of their own fans," Drew said. "They played a more physical style and that's something in the past that we haven't handled as well, so it was nice to see how our team was able to gel and mature."

The Pioneros, who play in Mexico's Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP), played the University of Arkansas to the final minute in a 60-57 loss Saturday at Kuchil-Baxal Gymnasium. Baylor and Arkansas are scheduled to play Jan. 4, 2008 in Dallas.

Baylor broke open what had been a tight game through the first nine minutes by scoring the final eight points of the first period to stake a 27-16 lead. Freshman guard LaceDarius Dunn scored the final four points of the run with two baskets in the last 23 seconds of the quarter.

The Bears pushed the lead to 25 during a 14-0 run over a five-minute span of the second quarter after senior Aaron Bruce followed his 3-pointer with two free throws to give Baylor a 48-23 lead with 2:22 to go in the period.

Baylor led 53-30 at halftime and 75-46 after the third quarter.

Curtis Jerrells scored 13 points and totaled seven steals and Bruce finished with 12 points and five rebounds. Sophomore Josh Lomers added 11 points. All 12 Baylor players suited for the game scored.

Dunn, who finished with six points, played for the first time Sunday after sitting out Saturday's game due to a coach's decision. Freshman forward Fred Ellis did not play in either game of the tour due to an ankle injury.

"This was a great opportunity and a great trip for our team and hopefully it will help to springboard us into our season," Drew said.

The team and travel party will travel back to Texas Monday. The Bears defeated the Belize Tuff E Nuff squad 115-47 Saturday in the tour's first game.
