WACO, Texas - Single-game tickets for the 2012-13 Baylor men's and women's basketball seasons are now on sale through the Baylor Athletics Ticket Office.
Fans can purchase single-game or season basketball tickets for the Bears and Lady Bears online at www.BaylorBears.com/tickets, in person at the ticket office inside the Ferrell Center or by phone at 254-710-1000. The ticket office is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. CT.
Both teams are ranked in preseason polls, with the defending national champion Lady Bears unanimously picked No. 1 in both the coaches and AP polls. The men's team is ranked No. 18 in the coaches' poll and No. 19 in the AP's preseason top 25 poll. Baylor joins Duke, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Louisville and Ohio State as the only six schools nationally with ranked men's and women's teams.
In addition to both teams playing home games against all nine Big 12 Conference opponents, there are numerous marquee non-conference games at the Ferrell Center. The men's team is scheduled to face BYU and Northwestern in games that will be televised on ESPN2, while the women's team has games against preseason No. 6/7 Kentucky and No. 20/16 Tennessee.
The Bears and Lady Bears open their seasons with a doubleheader on Friday, Nov. 9. The women's team faces Lamar at noon, followed by the men's team against Lehigh at 4 p.m. Both games will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest as part of Baylor's new third-tier television package. There will be separate tickets for each game, and fans will be asked to clear the arena after the completion of the women's game.
