• Grambling State's lone two double-figure scorers from last season's 7-21 team return in 2010-11. Senior G Donald Qualls averaged a team-best 15.2 points in 27 games, while shooting 34.6 percent from 3-point range and 78.4 percent from the FT line.
• Senior G/F Lance Fuertado finished second behind Qualls in scoring (13.2), whole pulling down 5.7 rebounds in 28 games.
• In their first year under head coach Bobby Washington, the Grambling State Tigers finished 7-21 overall and eighth in the SWAC with a 4-14 conference mark.

DREW IN REGULAR-SEASON OPENERS

UP NEXT - NOV. 16, 2010 vs. LA SALLE
• For the second time in three seasons, Baylor will host a mid-afternoon non-conference game at the Ferrell Center as part of ESPN's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon. This season, Baylor will host the La Salle Explorers on Tue., Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. CST on ESPN.
• Ron Franklin (play-by-play) and Fran Fraschilla (analyst) will serve as the on-air talent for the ESPN telecast.

SEASON-OPENING HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE
• When Baylor squares off in its season opener Nov. 12 against Grambling State, it will mark the first game to be played on that date in the program's 105-year history. Prior to this season's opener, the earliest season opener during the modern era in Baylor recorded history was last season -- an 86-58 win over Norfolk State on Nov. 13, 2009.
• The earliest game played in program history occurred during the school's first season of organized basketball in 1906-07 when Baylor defeated Cowden Hall, 18-11, Oct. 12, 1906. The Bears later defeated Waco YMCA, 43-18, Nov. 6, 1906.

HOME, SWEET GOLDEN DOME
• Baylor is 54-15 (.783) in the last four seasons at the Ferrell Center, including a facility-record 15 wins during the 2009-10 season.
• In its first seven seasons in the Big 12, Baylor was 76-38 (.667) at the Ferrell Center. In the first seven seasons of the Scott Drew era, the Bears are 72-39 (.649) in home games at the Ferrell Center.

NON-CONFERENCE SUCCESS
• Since 2003-04, Baylor has had considerable success in non-conference play. The Bears are 60-19 (.759) against non-conference competition in the Scott Drew era.

Quincy Acy, THE DUNK FACTOR
• In Baylor's 2009-10 regular-season finale against Texas, Quincy Acy scored a career-high 24 points and electrified the Ferrell Center crowd with 10 dunks that earned him a spot on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays.
