Five solo stops and tackle for loss (-1 yard) in win at Rice in fourth game... Returned an interception 14 yards for first career TD in win vs. Kansas in fifth game... 2009 (Junior): Started all 12 games at left cornerback as junior in 2009 -- one of 11 Bears to start every game -- to earn third letter... Suffered broken hand in fourth game but did not miss a game or a start... Totaled 42 tackles (29 solo), two tackles for loss, one interception and five passes broken up on the season... Had five tackles and career-first forced fumble in season-opening win at Wake Forest... Suffered broken hand in fourth game vs. Kent State, returned to game with bandage; played and started final eight games with cast... Made three unassisted tackles and first career interception (despite cast on hand) on goal line at Iowa State in sixth game... Tied career high with six tackles vs. Nebraska in eighth game... Spring 2009 Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll selection... Played as reserve in season's first eight games, started three of last four games (last three games played) at left cornerback... Made first career start (left cornerback) in ninth game vs. No. 14 Missouri, made two tackles and two PBUs... Tallied career-high six tackles (all solo) in season-finale at No. 7 Texas Tech... 2006 (True Freshman): Elected to take a redshirt year as a true freshman free safety... Dressed for season's first two games, but did not play and then redshirted.

No. 5 on Waco Tribune-Herald's Central Texas Top 25 list... Defensive MVP of 2005 Waco Tribune-Herald Super Centex team also earned first-team Class 5A all-state honors from both Associated Press and 5ATexasFootball.com as well as second-team recognition from Texas Sports Writers Association... 3-star Rivals.com recruit... Registered 147 tackles, six interceptions, three blocked kicks, three fumble recoveries and a forced fumble as a prep senior en route to District 13-5A Defensive Player of Year honors...
