2006: After missing the 2005 season and all of spring practice while recovering from knee surgery, junior Braelon Davis is listed No. 3 at cornerback behind returning starter C.J. Wilson and Alton Widemon ... One of the Bears' top defenders, Davis should challenge for All-Big 12 honors in his final two seasons at Baylor ... His father, Bruce, was an All-Southwest Conference wide receiver for the Bears as a senior in 1983 and a four-time All-America sprinter ... Like his father, Braelon wears jersey No. 5 as a Bear.

2005: Davis sustained a knee injury during the Bears' April 9, 2005, spring scrimmage, underwent surgery to repair a torn right ACL on May 24 and missed the entire 2005 season and all of the Bears' 2006 spring workouts.

2004: The 2004 Sporting News All-Big 12 freshman team honoree drew five starts in 11 games as a rookie, including starts in each of Baylor's final four contests, to earn his first varsity football letter as a redshirt freshman ... His 24 tackles (18 solo) ranked No. 10 on squad ... Also had a pass breakup ... Had seven multi-tackle efforts in 11 games ... Tallied a career-high five tackles (four solos) and his first career interception, which he returned 12 yards, against No. 16 Texas A&M ... 2003: Redshirted as a true freshman, but earned a letter as a member of the Bears' indoor and outdoor track teams ... Recorded season-bests of 6.83 in the 60 meters and 21.89 in the 200 meters at the 2004 Big 12 Indoor Championships ... During the outdoor season, he was the leadoff leg of Baylor's 4x100-meter relay team, which clocked a time of 39.86 to finish second at the Big 12 Outdoor ... Posted season-bests of 10.46 in the 100 meters and 20.84 in the 200 meters at the NCAA Regional meet ... Father, Bruce, earned 1983 All-Southwest Conference honors as a senior wide receiver and was a four-time All-America sprinter at Baylor who was a second-round draft pick of the NFL's Cleveland Browns in 1984 ...
