2009 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in seven of 12 games as redshirt freshman in 2009, all on special teams, to earn first collegiate letter... Missed four games due to injury and one by coach's decision... Recorded no tackles on season... Missed third game due to illness and final three games with hamstring strain.
2008 (True Freshman): Sat out first season at Baylor and participated on practice squad, redshirted to retain eligibility... Earned the team's Defensive Bear Squad Award for his performance on the scout team.
High School: Carthage High School, Carthage, Texas... 2007 District 20-3A defensive MVP as senior registered 132 tackles, three forced fumbles and one interception in final prep season... Credited with more than 100 tackles and five sacks as junior en route to first-team all-district honors... District Sophomore of Year... Also lettered in basketball and track...
