2014 (Sophomore): Played in nine of 13 games, missed four battling injuries, during sophomore season for 2014 Big 12 champions… Totaled 383 yards and eight TDs on 80 rushes, and three catches for 34 yards, on season… Played nine total games as reserve, scored eight TDs as preferred goal-line back, notched two 100-yard games… Had five carries for seven yards in season-opening win over SMU before leaving due to high-ankle sprain… Missed subsequent three games while nursing knee injury… Returned to action in team’s fifth game, win at Texas, rushed eight times for 34 yards… Over five games while healthy, amassed 327 yards and eight TDs on 63 carries… Ran for 43 yards and TD on 10 carries in epic 61-58 comeback win over No. 9 TCU in sixth game… Rushed for team-high and career-high 112 yards and two TDs, added four-yard reception and 33-yard kickoff return (career-high 149 all-purpose yards), in win over Kansas in team’s eighth game… Scored two TDs and ran for 35 yards (16-yard kickoff return) in win at No. 16 Oklahoma in ninth game… Totaled 106 yards and career-high three TDs on career-high 21 rushes (added 13-yard reception) in win over Oklahoma State in 10th game… Left 12th game in first quarter after dislocating elbow (had 17 yards on three carries)… Missed win over K-State in 12th game due to elbow injury… Returned and had one rush (negative two yards) in Cotton Bowl vs. No. 7 Michigan State.
2013 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in 11 of 13 games as reserve running back and on special teams… Earned first career letter… Totaled 295 yards and four TDs on 51 rushes for season… Did not dress for season-opening game, did not play in 11th game at TCU (coach’s decision)… Made collegiate debut in win over Buffalo in team’s second game, had 35 yards on seven carries… Rushed nine times for 42 yards, including long of 20 yards, in win over ULM in third game… Scored first career touchdown (one-yard rush) and had 56 yards on 10 total attempts in win over West Virginia in fourth game… Had 21-yard TD run in win over Iowa State in sixth game… Had two special teams tackles and forced fumble in win at Kansas in seventh game… Set career highs of yards (100), TDs (two), attempts (11) and longest rush (47 yards) in win vs. Texas Tech in ninth game… Second TD vs. Tech was career-long 47-yard rush in third quarter… Carried twice for five yards in historic win over No. 23 Texas that clinched Big 12 championship and school’s first BCS Bowl berth.
2012 (True Freshman): Sat out first season at Baylor and participated on practice squad, redshirted to retain eligibility.
High School: All-state running back from Burkburnett (Texas) High School... Played for head coach Scott Boswell at BHS... National position rankings among running backs: No. 65 by 247Sports.com, No. 83 by Scout.com, No. 108 by ESPN.com... Named 2011 second-team Class 3A All-State following senior season in which rushed for 1,246 yards and 17 touchdowns on 181 carries... Also had 40 receptions for 400 yards and four TDs while leading Burkburnett to 6-5 record and bi-district first round... Named 2011 District 6-3A Player of Year and DFW Class 3A All-Area first team... Ran for 1,287 yards and 13 TDs as junior in 2010, named District 6-3A Newcomer of Year...Named 2010 honorable mention Class 3A All-State... Also ran track and field at BHS, finished sixth in 100 meters at Class 3A state meet with time of 10.82.
