4-TIME ACADEMIC ALL-BIG 12, FIRST TEAM [2009, 2010, 2011, 2012]

Versatile, four-year letterman on offensive line... 40 career games played, three career starts... Member of senior class that played in three straight bowl games for first time in school history and won back-to-back bowl games for first time since 1985-86... Four-time, first-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree, nine-time member of Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll... Graduated from Baylor in August 2011 with finance degree.

2012 (Senior): Played in 10 of 13 games, with two starts, as reserve lineman and special teams regular as senior... Earned first-team Academic All-Big 12 honors... Named to Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in Fall 2012... Started at right guard in season-opening win over SMU, missed following three games due to knee strain... Saw action from scrimmage in three of next four games, including at Iowa State in team's seventh game - totaled two knockdowns and graded at 87 percent as a reserve... Started at left guard in eighth game, a win over Kansas, earned coaches grade of 91 percent and totaled three knockdowns... Played special teams in games nine and 10... 2010 (Sophomore): Played in 10 of 13 games as backup offensive lineman and on special teams... Earned first-team Academic All-Big 12 honors... Named to Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in fall 2010 and spring 2011... Saw snaps from scrimmage in four of first five weeks (SHSU, Buffalo, at Rice and Kansas)... Played only special teams in third game, games six through nine and regular-season finale.

2009 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in seven of 12 games as reserve offensive lineman and on special teams as redshirt freshman in 2009... Earned first collegiate letter... Named to Academic All-Big 12 first team... Named to Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in fall 2009 and spring 2010... Saw first career action, and season's only action from scrimmage, as reserve lineman in win over Northwestern State in third game... Played on special teams in six of final nine games (did not play vs. No. 14 Oklahoma State in seventh game, at Missouri in ninth game or at Texas A&M in 11th game).

2008 (True Freshman): Sat out first season at Baylor and participated on practice squad, redshirted to retain eligibility... Earned team's Baylor Offensive Bear Squad Award for his efforts on the scout team... Named to Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in fall 2008 and spring 2009.

High School:  Southlake Carroll High School, Southlake, Texas... Did not allow sack playing guard or tackle as senior for perennial Texas 5A power Dragons... Fort Worth Star-Telegram Texas Top 100 member, also an Area Top 50 performer by same publication... No. 52 on Dallas Morning News' Area Top 100 list... Rated nation's 67th-best offensive guard by Earned 2007 first-team Dallas Morning News all-area honors and first-team All-District 5-5A performer as senior... 2007 second-team Class 5A Texas Sports Writers Association all-state pick... 2007 Texas Top 300 selection by Texas Football magazine... Recorded 143 pins/pancake blocks and graded out at 98 percent in final prep season for Dragons... Starting left guard for Southlake's 2006 16-0 state 5A and national championship team as junior... Had 132 pins/pancake blocks as junior and yielded just one sack... Also member of Dragons' 2005 squad which won Texas 5A title and crowned national champions... In three seasons on Southlake Carroll varsity, Dragons fashioned 43-2 record... Coached as senior by Hal Wasson at District 5-5A school, prior to that coached by Todd Dodge.

Personal:  Son of Charles and Cathy Jackson, Jacob Odell Jackson was born Oct. 2, 1989, in Bedford, Texas... Parents are both Baylor graduates... Father, Charles, was basketball letterwinner (1980) for Bears... Has only played football since seventh grade; played hockey prior... Family lived in Canada during Jake's childhood... Graduated from Baylor in May 2011 with degree in finance.
