Matt Lombardi joined the Baylor football staff in February 2017. He serves as a quality control coach on the offensive side of the ball.
Lombardi moved to Baylor after spending three seasons from 2014-16 on the football staff at Louisville. He worked as a graduate assistant with the Cardinals coaching tight ends for two seasons from 2015-16. Lombardi spent his first season at Louisville in 2014 as a special teams quality control assistant.
He spent the 2013 season as a scouting intern with the Cleveland Browns.
His father, Michael, spent three decades working in the NFL including a stint as general manager of the Cleveland Browns from 2013-14. He is currently a football analyst for The Ringer. Lombardi's brother, Mick, is an assistant coach with the New York Jets.
Lombardi graduated from Delaware in 2013. He is married to the former Julie Levites. The couple has a son, Leo.
