2011 (Junior): Unable to redshirt after playing second half of 11th game vs. Texas Tech at Cowboys Stadium in relief of injured starter Robert Griffin III, threw TWO TDs to lead team to victory... Played two of 13 games... Named to Dean's List in fall 2011 and Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in fall 2011 and spring 2012... In one half vs. Tech, accounted for three TDs, throwing for 151 yards, on 9-for-12 passing, with two TDs, while rushing for another on seven carries for 14 yards... Brilliant relief effort helped lead Baylor to first win over Texas Tech in Big 12 era... Also saw action at wide receiver against Texas in 12th game, did not record a stat... Did not play in Valero Alamo Bowl win over Washington.
2010 (Sophomore): Played in seven games as backup quarterback... Totaled 55 passing yards, on 6-for-12 passing, with no TDs or interceptions... Rushed for seven yards on two carries... Named to Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in fall 2010 and spring 2011 semesters... Threw most passes in season-opening win over Sam Houston State, six attempts with two completions for 21 total yards...
