Four-year letterman at linebacker/safety and special teams... Member of senior class that played in four straight bowl games for first time in school history and earned program's first Big 12 Championship and BCS Bowl berth in 2013... Played 50 career games, totaled 25 tackles (19 solo), 1.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, one forced fumble, one QB hurry and one PBU... Led team with two interceptions in 2010 as true freshman safety... 2009 Under Armour All-American... Earned undergraduate degree in speech communication in December 2013.

2013 (Senior): Played all 13 games as reserve "Bear" back (hybrid linebacker/safety) and special teams... Totaled 11 tackles (nine solo), one half tackle for loss, one forced fumble, one QB hurry and one PBU on season... Played snaps on defense in six of first seven games... Tied career-high of three tackles (all solo) and had forced fumble in season-opening win over Wofford... Again tied career mark of three tackles, including a shared tackle-for-loss, in win over Buffalo in second game... Had career-first quarterback hurry in win over Iowa State in sixth game... Made one tackle and had pass breakup in win at Kansas in seventh game... Played predominantly special teams over final six games (played from scrimmage vs. Texas Tech in ninth game)... 2012 (Junior): Played all 13 games, on special teams and as reserve nickelback/"Bear", as junior in 2012... Played from scrimmage in eight of 13 games... Had single tackles in four other games (at ULM, at WVU, at UT, Holiday Bowl vs. UCLA)... Tackle at No. 9 West Virginia was for 1-yard loss.

2011 (Sophomore): Played in all 13 games on special teams... Recorded no stats... Moved to linebacker from safety during spring 2011.

2010 (True Freshman): Played in 11 of 13 games as true freshman special teamer and reserve defensive back to earn first collegiate letter... Led team with two interceptions despite limited plays at safety... One of six true freshmen to play in 2010... Totaled eight tackles and two interceptions (23 return yards)... Played from scrimmage in seven games, special-teams only in four and sat out two (one coach's decision, one due to injury)...Made collegiate debut in season-opening win over Sam Houston State, saw action at safety with no stats... Had season-high three tackles in win over Buffalo in second game... Tied season-high with three tackles in win over Kansas in fifth game... Had no tackles but made first career interception (returned 19 yards) vs. Texas Tech in sixth game... Intercepted second pass in win over Kansas State in eighth game...Suffered knee strain on opening kickoff of week 11 vs. No. 23 Texas A&M, did not play week 12 vs. No. 16 Oklahoma.
