Football Wraps Up Fall Scrimmage, Meet the Bears

Fans watch scrimmage then enjoy autographs with players at Meet the Bears.

Two-year letterman transferred from New Mexico Military Institute... Joined program as walk-on, awarded scholarship prior to senior season.

2011 (Senior): Played two of 13 games on special teams... Saw action in second game against SFA and third game against Rice... Played exclusively on special teams in both games.

2010 (Redshirt Junior): Played seven of 13 games to earn first collegiate letter... Totaled two tackles... Played in three of first eight games, saw action at reserve linebacker... Played exclusively on special teams in each of final four regular-season games... Made Baylor debut in season-opening win vs. Sam Houston State... Made single tackles in wins vs. Kansas State (eighth game) and at Texas (ninth game).

2009 (Junior): Walk-on transferred from NMMI, practiced with team but redshirted to retain eligibility.

Junior College: Played linebacker for two seasons at New Mexico Military Institute... Played in seven games as sophomore in 2008, totaled 25 tackles (12 solo) with 4.5 for loss.

High School: Two-year all-district offensive lineman at Eisenhower High School in Houston, Texas... Played pulling guard at EHS under head coach Darryl Phipps... First-team All-District 19-5A as senior in 2007 and junior in 2006.

Personal: Son of Reginald and Rhoda Rice was born Sept. 20, 1988, in Houston, Texas... Majoring in general studies.
