Ryan Kelly joined the Baylor football staff in January 2017. He serves as associate director for football operations. Prior to moving to Waco, Kelly served from 2015-16 at Temple as assistant director of football operations.
Kelly joined the program from Coastal Carolina University, where he served during the 2014 season as a recruiting assistant. He oversaw many aspects of the recruiting process for the 2014 Big South Champions in the FCS, including scheduling visits and handling NCAA paperwork.
Kelly spent three seasons at Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass. from 2011-13, where he was the director of football operations. He began as running backs coach in 2011 before being promoted to special teams coordinator the following year. He handled recruiting for the football team before earning his promotion to oversee recruiting for all 17 varsity teams for the Division III School. He also taught special needs students in the area.
The Albany, N.Y. native earned his bachelor of science in physical education from Norwich University in 2011. He earned four varsity letters on the football team, winning the Eastern Collegiate Football Championship in 2009, the same year he was named Norwich's Special Teams Player of the Year. He also pitched for the baseball, transitioning from the starting rotation to the bullpen, earning four varsity letters.
Kelly is married to the former Kristina Lane. The couple has a son, Jack.
