Colin Shillinglaw is in his fifth season organizing Baylor's day-to-day
football needs and his second as Assistant Athletics Director for Football
Operations. He came to Waco in 2008 with Art Briles after serving five
seasons in a similar capacity at the University of Houston.
Shillinglaw oversees every aspect of the Bears' football program,
including team travel, academics, departmental budget, personnel,
gameday operations and serves as the liaison to BU's senior athletic staff.
Prior to joining the UH staff in 2003, Shillinglaw spent 15 seasons at
Stephenville (Texas) High School. He served 12 seasons as head athletics
trainer before being promoted to assistant athletic director/head athletics
trainer at Stephenville ISD in 2001. In his expanded role, he oversaw the
department's budget, coordinated travel for all teams, assisted in UIL
eligibility forms and attended district athletic executive meetings.
Shillinglaw received his bachelor's degree in physical education in 1987
from Northern Iowa and earned his master's degree in sports health from
Texas Tech in 1988. He and his wife, Donna, have two children, Kaylin
and Matthew.
