Beau Trahan is in his fifth season with Baylor football and his second
serving as the program's Director of Football Operations. He assists in all
day-to-day operations for the program, with an emphasis in recruiting.
A former four-year letterman at the University of Texas (1999-2002),
Trahan started his collegiate playing career as a quarterback and then
moved to safety. He was a special teams standout during his UT playing
career and received his bachelor's degree (kinesiology) in 2002.
Following his Longhorn player career, he launched his collegiate
coaching career as a graduate assistant coach on the defensive side of the
ball at Texas in 2003. From UT, Trahan joined Art Briles' staff as an
offensive graduate assistant coach at Houston in 2004.
From 2005-2008 Trahan worked as an assistant coach, working with
quarterbacks, and teacher at Dickinson High School, which is outside the
Houston area.
Trahan and his wife, Lauren, are the parents of two daughters, Abigail
and Anne. Lauren is a Waco native who graduated from Vanguard High
School and works as a doctor of Anesthesia at Providence Hospital.
