2010 (Redshirt Freshman): Played all 13 games in various special teams roles as redshirt freshman to earn first collegiate letter... Holder for all placement kicks, third-string quarterback, reserve punter... Totaled four tackles, all on special teams... Earned second-team Academic All-Big 12 honors... Named to Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll in fall 2010... Turned in one of most memorable plays of season on final play of first half in week 11 vs. No. 23 Texas A&M, when after holding for blocked FG, chased returner down and pushed out at own 1-yard-line to prevent touchdown... Threw 34-yard completion to linebacker Antonio Johnson for first down on fake punt vs. Texas Tech in sixth game... Had single tackles in each of final four regular-season games.

High School: Prolific passer and all-around athlete at Dickinson (Texas) High School... National position ranking: No. 73 by Scout.com among safeties and No. 84 by ESPN.com among quarterbacks... Threw for 3,638 yards in standout prep career... Played for father, head coach Warren Trahan, at DHS... Suffered season-ending knee injury in fifth game of senior year in 2008... Finished with 854 yards and 10 touchdowns (52-81, two interceptions) passing and 336 yards and five TDs rushing on 49 carries as senior... Dickinson finished 2008 season 9-3, advanced to 5A DII regional finals...
