KANSAS STATE HEAD COACH RON PRINCE
"Baylor has a good defense. They are very sound. Hat's off to Coach Morris and defensive coordinator and the special teams, Chris Lancaster. They did a very good job."
On Kansas State's Performance:
"I'm not looking for any silver lining. I think we're far enough in this thing to play better than we did."
KANSAS STATE DT QUINTON ECHOLS
"We expected Baylor to come out here and play well. We expected to play well, but Baylor came out here and played very well. They were well coached and they basically just did everything they needed to do to win. I think that we played well. We didn't play well enough. If we played well enough they wouldn't have had any points. We played okay but we didn't play up to our standards."
On lack of offense:
"In a team sport you can't let it get frustrating. If you let it get frustrating, it is just going to bring us down. Our offense scored three points so that means we should have held them to zero."
KANSAS STATE QB DYLAN MEIER
"You've got to give credit where credit is due, Baylor played better. They prepared better, they played better and they performed better."
BAYLOR HEAD COACH Guy Morriss
"They started overloading us a little bit, I don't know what our problem was. They did step up and play a decent game."
"We talked all week about challenging them pretty hard, and they responded. I did my talk to them at the pregame meal today, I called the seniors up on Wednesday and told them that is their football team and they need to take charge of it."
ON THE OFFENSE:
"I think our kids played hard, but I don't know how smart they played. On the offensive side, it's a heck of a lot better tonight than it was last game."
BAYLOR QB Shawn Bell
"A couple of times I might have forced it for the sake of getting down the field, but it worked out for us and we got the win, It wasn't as pretty as we would like but we'll take it."
"That's something we gotta focus more on, we haven't really worked on that yet, It's something we need to work on, the more games we play the better we'll do, coach Morris addressed it and we are going to work on it."
BAYLOR SAFETY Dwain Crawford
ON THE WIN:
"At that time, when he came in you could tell he was a little shaky, We just let the defense get the ball out today, I'll feel great about the win."
"Before we came out the locker room we talked amongst ourselves, we set the tone, We felt like we made them punt the ball that would set the tone for the rest of the game."
ON THE DEFENSE:
"We just overcame adversity, I tip my hat to the defense."
BAYLOR LINEBACKER JOE PAWELEK
On the defense:
"The defense really came together and offense put enough points up to win."
On tough situations:
"We were put into tough situations and we played with a lot of effort out there."
