• This was the first-ever varsity football meeting between Baylor and Kent State.

• Baylor has scored at least one rushing touchdown in 16 consecutive games, dating back to the 2008 season opener. That is the second-longest such streak in Baylor history. The Bears recorded at least one rushing touchdown in 33 consecutive games from the fourth game of the 1951 season through the fifth game of the 1954 season.
• Baylor eclipsed 100 yards rushing for the eighth consecutive game.
• Baylor has won 10 consecutive games when reaching the 30-point plateau. Since 2001, Baylor is 21-2 when scoring at least 30 points.
• Baylor is 6-0 when scoring 30-plus points and 5-0 when holding the opposition to 20 points or less in the Briles Era.
• Baylor snapped its streak of 23 consecutive losses when its opponent tallied more total yards of offense. Before tonight, the last time the Bears were out-gained and still won was against Kansas State in 2006.

• LB Joe Pawelek started his 37th consecutive game, the longest streak by a Baylor player since Maurice Lane's school-record, 45-game streak that ran from 2002 to 2005.
• RG James Barnard, FS Jordan Lake and C J.D. Walton all started their 28th consecutive games.
• LB Antonio Jones started his 16th consecutive game.
• WR David Gettis started his 12th consecutive game.
• QB Nick Florence made his first career start.
• Florence's second-quarter touchdown run was the first touchdown of his career.
• Florence completed 74.1 percent of his passing (20-of-27) -- the highest completion percentage by a Baylor QB this season.
• Florence's 216 passing yards are the second-most by a Baylor QB this season (226 by Griffin vs. Northwestern State).
• TE Jarod Monk'first-quarter touchdown run was the first touchdown of his career. He was lined up under center on the play.
• DE Jason Lamb blocked two field goals -- one in the first quarter and another in third quarter. He now has three career blocked field goals; he also blocked a field goal last season at Nebraska.
• LB Elliot Coffey's second-quarter interception was the first of his career.
• DB Clifton Odom set a career high with eight tackles.
• DB Chance Casey set a career high with six tackles.
• Gettis moved into 18th place on Baylor's career receptions list. He now has 80 career receptions.
• Gettis moved into 19th place on Baylor's career receiving yards list. He now has 1,061 career receiving yards.
• Pawelek moved into fourth place on Baylor's career tackles list. He now has 352 career tackles.
• IR Kendall Wright established a career high for receptions in a game. His previous high was seven on two occasions.
• Wright recorded his second straight 100-yard receiving game.
