The scrimmage and all spring workouts will take place at the Highers Complex practice fields located behind the Simpson Center on University Parks Drive.
Baylor spring practice dates are scheduled for Feb. 28, March 1, 3, 4, 6, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, April 1, 3, 4, and 5. Fan inquiries about attending workouts may be directed to the football office at 254-710-3058.
Head coach Art Briles opens his seventh season in 2014 with a roster made up of 51 returning lettermen from last year’s Big 12 title team, and welcomes seven scholarship newcomers during spring drills -- four mid-year junior college signees: Jarell Broxton, an offensive lineman from Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pa., linebacker Grant Campbell of Bakersfield (Calif.) College, and defensive backs Chris Sanders of Eastern Arizona College and Tion Wright of Moorpark (Calif.) College; and three early enrollees: Jordan Feuerbacher, a tight end from Kingwood Park HS in Kingwood, Texas, receiver Davion Hall of Liberty-Eylau High School in Texarkana, Texas, and running back Terence Williams of Ennis (Texas) High School.
Baylor won a school-record 11 games in 2013 and played in the Fiesta Bowl, the school’s record fourth straight bowl appearance.
The Bears open the 2014 season Aug. 31 by hosting SMU in the debut of the state-of-the-art McLane Stadium on the Brazos River. Baylor’s Pro Timing Day is schedule for March 19.
