WACO, Texas --
Season ticket renewals for Baylor's final football season at Floyd Casey Stadium are now available online, and Bear fans who renew their season tickets online by April 15 may take advantage of a four-month payment plan, in addition to having all processing fees waived. In addition, season ticket holders will be afforded the opportunity to purchase club seats for the 2013 Texas Farm Bureau Shootout against Texas Tech at Cowboys Stadium, Nov. 16, at a reduced price.
Fresh off back-to-back bowl victories for only the second time in school history, the 2012 Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl champion Baylor Bears look to close their 64-year-old home den, Floyd Casey Stadium, in style. With the return of 15 starters, Coach Art Briles' 2013 Bears hope to extend their postseason streak to four straight seasons with a schedule that includes seven home games.
All-told, 10 of Baylor's 12 2013 opponents, including six of seven home foes, reached the postseason a year ago. The Bears' 2013 home schedule includes 2012 bowl participants Louisiana-Monroe (Sept. 21), West Virginia (Oct. 5), Iowa State (Oct. 19), Oklahoma (Nov. 7) and Texas (Dec. 7), as well as 2012 FCS playoff entrant Wofford (Aug. 31). BU's other non-conference home game is Sept. 7 against Buffalo.
Three of Baylor's first four home games will be against teams making their first-ever visit to Waco--Wofford, Louisiana-Monroe and West Virginia. The Louisiana-Monroe game will serve as Baylor's Family Weekend centerpiece, while the Iowa State game has been designated as the annual Homecoming contest and the Texas game will mark the Bears' last game at Floyd Casey Stadium.
Floyd Casey Stadium has served as the Bears' home since 1950, and over the past three seasons, Baylor has registered a 16-3 mark on its home turf, highlighted by a 7-0 mark in 2011. BU's recent success helped generate the momentum needed to return football to campus for the first time since the Great Depression.
As the University transitions from Floyd Casey Stadium to the new Baylor Stadium in 2014, fans who purchase 2013 season football tickets will be assured of being able to purchase the same number of seats in the initial seating of the new Baylor Stadium for the 2014 season. Requests for additional season tickets may be made at the time of renewal.
Hard copies of 2013 renewal applications will be sent to existing accounts in late April to provide fans another renewal option. The deadline for all renewals is May 31. Renewal details will be posted on baylorbears.com, as well, and fans are encouraged to follow @BaylorAthletics on Twitter for updates.
Season tickets for the 2013 Baylor football season are available starting at $95 each, and fans who do not currently have a season-ticket account and are interested in purchasing season tickets may do so now online at baylorbears.com/tickets or by contacting the Baylor Athletic Ticket Office at 254.710.1000.
