April 6, 2010

WACO, Texas - Art Briles and the Baylor football team will conclude spring practice with the Baylor Spring Game presented by Time Warner Cable on Saturday, April 10, at 2 p.m. on the Highers Athletics Complex practice fields. Admission to the scrimmage is free.

"We've had a productive spring, and this team has had a chance to grow athletically," Briles said. "We've gotten better, and this is part of us taking the next step.

"We're looking forward to the spring game Saturday and hope all Baylor fans can come out and take a look at this team. This year we're doing a more game-situational scrimmage and it will feel more like a game."

The first half of the spring game will be a controlled scrimmage, with the second half being played under game-like conditions.

A special tailgating contest for Baylor student organizations will be held in the Highers Athletics Complex parking lot prior to the scrimmage. 1660 ESPN will have a live remote running from noon to 1:45 p.m.

Free hot dogs and dollar drinks, as well as complimentary 2010 schedule posters will also be available at the scrimmage.

Gates to the Highers Athletics Complex practice fields will open at 1 p.m., with the scrimmage set to begin at 2 p.m. Fans are encouraged to park at the Ferrell Center/Turner River Front Complex parking lots and ride the complimentary shuttles to the Highers Athletics Complex.
