All-Time Baylor NFL Draft Picks
NEW YORK - Former Baylor All-American wide receiver Terrance Williams was taken with the 74th overall selection by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft on Friday at Radio City Music Hall.
Williams led the nation in receiving yards (1,832 on 97 receptions) in his last season at Baylor. That total ranked seventh all-time in NCAA history. He was a four-year starter who owns or shares eight school receiving records. Williams finished his Baylor career with 202 receptions, 3,334 yards and 27 touchdowns (all marks rank second at Baylor to all-time receiving leader and current Tennessee Titan Kendall Wright).
He is Baylor's 14th player drafted in the last five years under Art Briles. Williams becomes Baylor's fifth player to be drafted by Dallas and the first since guard Kelvin Garmon in 1999. BU has now had four receivers drafted in the last four years. The Bears have had at least one player drafted in the NFL's first three rounds in each of the last five seasons.
In his senior season, Williams earned 10 first-team All-America honors, making him Baylor's sixth all-time unanimous All-American. He was also one of three Biletnikoff Award finalists.
Williams went over 100 receiving yards in eight of 13 games in 2012 and had at least 65 yards in every game.
He's also broke Baylor's career record with 4,554 all-purpose yards, and his 1,778 all-purpose yards on the season are also a school record. He broke Baylor's single-game receptions record and set a Big 12 record for receiving yards when he racked up 314 yards on 17 receptions on Sept. 29 at West Virginia.
Williams competed in the 2013 Senior Bowl and is a 2012 graduate of Baylor with a degree in general studies.
