WACO, Texas - With the 4th of July mercury hitting a high of 101 degrees in Waco, Baylor football fans who have been waiting for the right time to purchase their 2011 season football tickets may wish to do so this week, as all season tickets outside Floyd Casey Stadium's premium seating sections are priced at $101 each.
"There is tremendous anticipation for the Bears' 2011 season, and we are grateful for those fans who already have purchased season tickets," said Baylor Executive Associate Athletics Director/External Affairs Nick Joos. "The price-point for this special July 4th promotion affords fans a discount of more than 30 percent off our Super Fan ticket price, and we are hopeful that will be appealing to many, especially considering the attractiveness of our 2011 home schedule."
Fans will be able to purchase season tickets at the discounted price of $101 each online, in person at the Baylor Athletics Ticket Office or via phone by calling 254-710-1000 starting at 8 a.m., July 5, through July 10.
There is a limit of eight tickets per person, and seats will only be available in sections A, B, C, I, J, K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and Q.
Coach Art Briles' Bears, fresh off the program's first bowl appearance since 1994, open their seven-game 2011 home schedule Sept. 2 with a 7 p.m. nationally televised ESPN game against 2011 Rose Bowl champion TCU. BU will also play host to Stephen F. Austin (Sept. 17), Rice (Sept. 24, Parents' Weekend), Iowa State (Oct. 8), Missouri (Nov. 5, Homecoming), Oklahoma (Nov. 19) and Texas (Dec. 3) at Floyd Casey Stadium in 2011.
