WACO, Texas -
While Baylor Bears fans continue to snap up 2013 season football tickets at record pace for Floyd Casey Stadium's 64th and final campaign that begins Aug. 31 against Wofford, those individuals looking to purchase single-game tickets will have to wait until Aug. 7 at 10:00 a.m., when all home games except the Dec. 7 finale go on sale.
Texas single-game tickets, priced at $68 each, will go on sale to current season ticket holders and Bear Foundation members Aug. 5 and through a unique promo code provided by the Baylor Network to the extended Baylor family on Sept. 10. Any remaining tickets after those sales are complete will be made available to the general public on Sept. 24.
As it has done in previous years, when single-game tickets go on sale next month, Baylor will also begin selling tickets for on-campus events around its annual Family Weekend (ULM, Sept. 21) and Homecoming (Iowa State, Oct. 19) contests, too.
With season ticket sales increasing for the ninth time in the past 10 seasons, and already more than 3,000 ahead of last year's record-mark, it is anticipated that the demand for single-game tickets will also be strong. Fans who have purchased single-game tickets in the past may also note when placing their 2013 orders that Baylor has stopped charging a processing fee on the transaction.
Season tickets for the Bears' seven-game 2013 home slate start at just $95 each, one of the great values in all of college football. Fans looking to purchase 2013 season tickets may still do so by visiting www.BaylorBears.com/tickets.
The Baylor Athletic Department will host its annual "Meet the Bears" football fan appreciation event, presented by Texas Farm Bureau Insurance, on Saturday, Aug. 10. The 2013 event will again be held in the Jay and Jenny Allison Indoor Practice Facility at the Highers Athletics Complex on University Parks Drive in Waco.
Fans will be invited to watch the Bears practice starting at 10:30 a.m., with a scrimmage slated from approximately 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m., and then get autographs of their favorite players and coaches starting at 1 p.m. The autograph session will begin in the indoor facility following the scrimmage on the practice field.
Inflatables will again be set-up in the Allison Indoor facility for the children to enjoy, while complimentary 2013 schedule posters and schedule cards will also be available. Fans will be limited to two autographed items per player/coach.
