WACO, Texas -Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III has received numerous honors after leading the Bears to a 50-48 upset over No. 14 TCU on Friday night at Floyd Casey Stadium.

RG3 has been named the National Offensive Player of the Week by Rivals.com and the Walter Camp Football Foundation, earned Player of the Week honors from Heismanpundit.comand is one of four finalists for both the Capital One Cup Performance of the Week and AT&T All-America Player of the Week.

"This season is young, but it's going to be hard to top that game as far as drama and memorable plays go," Heismanpundit.comsaid of Griffin III's performance. "In fact, Griffin also owns the Play of the Year in this young season, and I wager it will probably remain such the rest of the way. I'm talking Griffin's remarkable reception on a seam route (when do you see that by a QB) that gave Baylor a key first down on its game-winning drive. Despite getting sandwiched by two defenders, he held on to the ball."

RG3 threw a career-high five touchdowns to lead the Bears to their first win over a top-15 opponent since knocking off 12th-ranked Colorado on Sept. 14, 1991. Baylor's 50 points scored were its most ever against a ranked opponent and the most allowed by the TCU defense since 2005.

Griffin III completed 21 of 27 passes for 359 yards, rushed 10 times for 38 yards and also caught a 15-yard pass on third-and-10 to extend the game-winning drive.

Griffin III's touchdown passes went for 35, 28, 14, 64 and 42 yards, respectively. He also completed passes for 21 and 36 yards, giving him the same number of completions of 20 or more yards (six) as incomplete passes. RG3 accounted for 50 of the Bears' 60 yards on the drive that ended with Aaron Jones' 37-yard game-winning field goal.

RG3 engineered seven scoring drives that used less than three minutes and took eight or fewer plays. The Bears' final drive of the day covered 60 yards on 11 plays in three minutes and 23 seconds and ended with the Bears taking a 50-48 lead on Jones' field goal with 1:04 remaining in the game.

Griffin III made an appearance on ESPN's College GameDayand did interviews with ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN Radio.

RG3 is on watch lists for the Maxwell, Manning, Davey O'Brien and Walter Camp awards and he's an Allstate AFCA Good Works Team nominee. For more on Griffin III, visit www.BU-RG3.com or www.Facebook.com/RG3forHeisman.
