WACO, Texas –Baylor’s game against Iowa State on Oct. 8 will kick off at 6 p.m. CT and will be televised live nationally on FSN, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday.
No. 15/16 Baylor (3-0) has its highest AP ranking since Oct. 7, 1991 when the Bears were ranked eighth. Baylor has been ranked in four consecutive AP polls for the first time since the 1991 season, when the Bears were ranked for eight straight weeks.
The game against Iowa State will be Baylor’s sixth consecutive nationally televised Big 12 Conference game, dating back to last season, and its fourth televised game this season (one on ESPN, one on Fox Sports Southwest and one on ABC).
Iowa State (3-0) is coming off a 24-20 win at Connecticut on Friday and takes on Texas this weekend in Ames, Iowa, before heading to Waco to face the Bears. The Cyclones aren’t ranked but are listed fourth among teams receiving votes in the AP poll and sixth among those receiving votes in the USA TODAY coaches poll.
Baylor opens Big 12 play with its first road game of the season when it travels to Kansas State on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. in a game that will be televised nationally on ABC.
