Sept. 26, 2011
Waco, Texas – Baylor football fans looking to purchase tickets for more than one of the 15th-ranked Bears remaining 2011 home football games may wish to take advantage of a special mini-pack the Athletic Department will make available from Sept. 26th through Oct. 8th.
Fans may purchase an adult ticket to the Bears’ remaining home games against Iowa State (Oct. 8), Missouri (Nov. 5), No. 2 Oklahoma (Nov. 19) and No. 17 Texas (Dec. 3) for $120, an average of $30 per game and a savings of $70 off the total price of $190 if tickets were to be purchased for each contest on a single-game basis. A youth ticket, good for children age 2-17, is also being offered for $95, which affords a savings of $40 off the $135 price-point if fans were to purchase each game on a single-game basis.
For only the third time in program history, Baylor has opened the season with three consecutive crowds of 40,000-plus at Floyd Casey Stadium, as the Bears have averaged 42,310 fans in 2011, which is nearly 2,300 fans better than it averaged a year ago for its six-game home slate.
“We’re a ranked football team, they’re excited about what we’re doing and we’re excited about them showing up and yelling for us,” said Baylor’s junior quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate Robert Griffin III. “It’s great, I love it. I haven’t seen this before.”
All fans who purchase the 2011 mini-pack will be eligible to win tickets to the Nov. 26 Baylor-Texas Tech game at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Baylor opens Big 12 play with its first road game of the season when it travels to Kansas State on Saturday, Oct. 1. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. in a game that will be televised nationally on ABC.
