WACO, Texas – Baylor’s Oct. 23 football game against Kansas State will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CDT at Floyd Casey Stadium and will not be televised. The Bears host the Wildcats in the 78th Homecoming game.
Baylor (4-2, 1-1 Big 12) takes on Colorado (3-2, 0-1 Big 12) at 6 p.m. Saturday before returning home to take on the Wildcats. The Bears and Buffaloes meet in Boulder, Colo., and the game will be televised nationally on FOX College Sports Central.
The Bears are 34-39-4 all-time in Homecoming games, including a 0-2 mark against Kansas State. Baylor is among the first five schools nationally ever to celebrate homecoming. The Bears held their first homecoming in 1909 and it became an annual event in 1930 when the name was changed from “Good Will Week” to Homecoming. Baylor’s Homecoming Parade is the largest in the nation.
