• After its second open date of the season, Baylor returns to Big 12 action against No. 3/4 Oklahoma State (7-0, 4-0) at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Okla. Saturday's game will kick at 2:30 p.m. and will be televised nationally on ABC and ESPN2.
• Baylor's only two losses in 2011 have come on the road against teams currently ranked No. 10 (by one point) and No. 16.
• Heisman Trophy candidate QB Robert Griffin III has completed a nation-leading 78.0 percent of his passes (142-of-182). He has thrown only two interceptions in his last 243 pass attempts. RG3 is one of only seven FBS quarterbacks averaging more than 320 passing yards per game.
• RG3 leads the nation in pass efficiency (205.71) and is on pace to shatter the NCAA single-season record (186.0 by Hawai`i QB Colt Brennan in 2006). He also leads the nation in completion percentage (78.0), points responsibility (24.00) and passing TDs per game (3.7).
• Baylor is the only FBS school averaging 300+ yards passing and 200+ yards rushing.
• Baylor is one of only three schools in FBS to rank in the top 30 in both rushing offense and passing offense (Texas A&M, Notre Dame). The Bears rank seventh nationally in passing and 21st in rushing.
• Baylor leads the nation in passing efficiency (206.87), ranks second in total offense (549.67), sixth in scoring offense (44.33), seventh in passing offense (341.33), 21st in rushing offense (208.33) and 29th in punt returns (11.20).
• RG3 ranks in the top 10 among active FBS players in eight career categories -- completion pct (5th), passing efficiency (5th), TD responsibility (5th), total yards per game (5th), total yards (6th), passing yards (8th), completions (9th) and TD passes (9th).
• RG3 has thrown a Big 12-leading 22 TD passes -- ranks fourth nationally -- that have totaled 692 yards (31.5 yards per TD).
• IR Kendall Wright ranks fifth nationally in both receptions (9.17) and receiving yards per game (126.17).

RG3 is not the only Baylor player currently ranked among the active FBS career leaders. His favorite target, senior IR Kendall Wright, ranks in the top 20 of five career categories -- 249 receptions (3rd), 3,098 receiving yards (5th), 25 receiving TDs (7th), 5.8 receptions per game (11th) and 72.0 receiving yards per game (15th).

QB Robert Griffin III has tossed 56 career passes of 30+ yards, accumulating 2,542 total yards (45.4 yards per pass). Nearly 32 percent of RG3's career passing production has come from passes of 30+ yards (2,542 of 8,023 yards).

During Baylor's 2010 Texas Bowl run, RG3 completed 21 passes of 30+ yards, totaling 1,005 yards (47.9 yards per pass). This season, RG3 has 16 passes of 30+ yards, totaling 726 yards (45.4 yards per pass).

QB Robert Griffin III leads the nation in completion percentage (78.0), points responsibility (24.00), and passing efficiency (205.71). He also ranks third nationally in total offense (374.17), tied for fourth in passing TDs (22) and seventh in passing yards per game (325.00).

RG3 is one of only FBS quarterbacks -- and two Big 12 signal-callers -- averaging more than 320 passing yards per game.

Saturday's game will be televised nationally on ABC and ESPN2. Bob Wischusen (play-by-play), Bob Davie (analyst) and Jeannine Edwards (sideline) will serve as the on-air talent. It is Baylor's eighth consecutive televised Big 12 game.

This is the 30th meeting between Baylor and Oklahoma State. The Cowboys lead the all-time series 17-12 after Oklahoma State's 55-28 victory last season in Stillwater. OSU leads the series 10-5 in games played in Stillwater; Baylor has lost nine consecutive games at Oklahoma State and have not won in Stillwater since  Oct. 7, 1939.

The Bears and Cowboys first met Oct. 25, 1914, with OSU blanking Baylor 60-0. The Bears won the next nine meetings before a 20-7 OSU victory in 1972. The teams have met once in the postseason, a 24-14 OSU victory in the 1983 Bluebonnet Bowl at the Astrodome in Houston.

SERIES NOTES: In 1974, an 0-2 Baylor team knocked off 12th-ranked Oklahoma State at Floyd Casey Stadium. That win started an 8-1 stretch to close the regular season for the Bears in a season that culminated with a Southwest Conference championship. ... In the 1983 Bluebonnet Bowl, Gerald McNeil caught 10 passes for 163 yards against the Cowboys. ... Baylor forced eight turnovers in the 2005 game. ... Oklahoma State's 66-point total in the 2006 game tied for the sixth-most points ever scored against Baylor and the second-most points scored against the Bears in a conference game.

Two seasons after freshman QB Nick Florence -- in place of an injured RG3 -- set the Baylor single-game passing record, junior QB Robert Griffin III etched his name on his 44th school record Oct. 15, passing for a school-record 430 yards in a 55-28 loss at No. 21 Texas A&M.

It was the sixth 400-yard passing game in school history and the second by Griffin III (Blake Szymanski has three).

Of the 15 different players to record a catch this season, only five Baylor players have more than 10 receptions through six games. Led by QB Robert Griffin III's favorite target, Kendall Wright, Baylor's top four receivers have combined for 118 of the Bears' 147 total receptions (80.3 percent) -- Wright (55), Tevin Reese (22), Terrance Williams (22) and Lanear Sampson (19).

All 16 of RG3's 30+ yard passes this season have gone to one of those four receivers (eight to Wright, four to Reese, two to Williams, two to Sampson).

He leads the nation with a 78.0 completion percentage, but junior QB Robert Griffin III is even more accurate on third downs through six games. RG3 is completing 82 percent of his passes (19-of-23) on third down, tossing 13 for first downs and three for TDs.

Senior IR Kendall Wright has always had a knack for being on the receiving end of a big pass play. Robert Griffin III's favorite target, Wright accounts for 36 percent of RG3's first-down completions (29), 33 percent of his second-down completions (18) and 33 percent of his third-down completions (seven).

All season long, Baylor's passing attack gets most of the attention for its high-power offense. However, Baylor owns one of the nation's most balanced offensive attacks.

Baylor is one of only three schools in FBS to rank in the top 30 in both rushing offense and passing offense (Texas A&M, Notre Dame). The Bears rank seventh nationally in passing and 21st in rushing.
