Ex-Baylor Gridder Henry Gremminger Dead at 67

WACO, Texas - Henry Charles "Hank" Gremminger, 67, a former football great for the Baylor Bears and the Green Bay Packers, died Nov. 2 in Weatherford. Death was attributed to cardiac arrest.

Gremminger was in was in the banking and insurance business in Parker County before taking office on Jan. 1 as a county commissioner. Earlier, as a contractor, he was instrumental in the renovating the old Fort Worth Stockyards.

A 1952 graduate of Weatherford High School, Gremminger was an end at Baylor during his collegiate days. After his senior year at Baylor in 1956, Gremminger joined the Green Back Packers and starred as a defensive back until 1966.

He was installed in the Baylor "B" Association Hall of Fame in 1971 and the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame in 1976.

Gremminger is survived by two daughters and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were scheduled for Nov. 5, at Central Christian Church in Weatherford under the supervision of Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel.
