WACO, Texas - Demand for tickets to see the 12th-ranked Baylor football team square off against Washington in the 19th Valero Alamo Bowl has exhausted the school's ticket allotment and only 2011 Baylor football season ticket holders and Bear Foundation members who submitted their order form via online, mail or phone by the Dec. 6 priority deadline were able to be accommodated with tickets through the Bears' Athletic Ticket Office.
"There is tremendous demand for Valero Alamo Bowl tickets and we are grateful for the support of Baylor Nation, our donors, season ticket holders and students for helping to purchase all of the tickets Baylor has been allotted for this game," said Baylor Director of Athletics Ian McCaw.
All 2011 football season ticket holders and Bear Foundation members who ordered Valero Alamo Bowl tickets by BU's priority deadline are guaranteed receiving tickets from Baylor Athletics. Tickets being held for Baylor students go on sale Thursday, Dec. 8, at 8 a.m. in the SUB.
Baylor fans who were hoping to purchase tickets and do not fall into one of the three categories above should call 800.745.3000 or order online through AlamoBowl.com. Because of demand, Baylor will not have a public sale of Valero Alamo Bowl tickets.
No. 12 Baylor (9-3, 6-3) closes out the 2011 season by taking on Washington (7-5, 5-4) in the Valero Alamo Bowl at 8 p.m. CST on Dec. 29 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN. For more information, visit Baylor's Bowl Central.
