HIGH SCHOOL Four-year letterwinner at Highland Park High School for head coach Jeff Loyd • Loyd spent the 2007-08 year as a Baylor assistant coach • Led team to district, regional and state championships as a junior and a state runner-up finish as a senior • The 2006 state championship marked the seventh consecutive state title for Highland Park and set a new record in the state of Texas • Earned five top-20 finishes in AJGA tournaments • Named first alternate to the 2006 US Junior Amateur and first alternate to the 2006 US Amateur • Named to the all-state, all-region and all-district teams as a senior • Was named to the 2007 Dallas Morning News all-area first-team • Also named all-state, all-region and all-district as a junior • All-district selection as a sophomore • Team captain as a junior and senior • Named a 2006 and 2007 Cornerstone Scholar Athlete • Recorded a 72.1 stroke average as a senior • Led Highland Park to the 2006 UIL state title by 14 strokes • In the classroom, graduated magna cum laude (top 10% of his graduating class) • A member of the honor roll and an Eagle Scout.
