Men's Golf Finishes 18th In Hawaii

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii - Baylor Men's Golf concluded the third and final round in Hawaii Friday night with the Bears finishing tied for 18th of 26 teams.

Baylor (289-286-300=875) were lead by Sophomore Ryan Baca (66-71-75=212) who despite shooting three over par in the final round, finished tied for 15th individually.

UCLA (836) won the invitational by two strokes over TCU (838). Houston, Oklahoma and Washington (849) all finished tied for third, 13 strokes behind the champion Bruins.

Junior Will Doughtie (70-72-76=218) shot a four over final round 76 and finished tied for 54th individually. Senior Trevar Matheson (76-68-76=220) also closed with a 76 Friday to finish tied for 69th.

Freshman Will McDonald (77-75-73=225) shot a team-low 73 on Friday and finished tied for 93rd. Jon Antunes (78-75-77=230) fired a five over par 77 on Friday to finish tied for 109th.

The Bears will return to action on Feb. 24-25 when they play at the UTSA Intercollegiate in San Antonio.
