LAFAYETTE, La. - Baylor junior Jeremy Alcorn (Brownwood, Texas) fired a final-round 71 to claim the individual title by two strokes and lead the 12th-ranked Baylor men's golf team to a second-place finish at the Louisiana Classics Tuesday at the 7,002-yard, par-72 Oakbourne Country Club.
Alcorn shot below par in all three rounds, shooting a 3-under 69 in the first round and a 5-under 67 in the second round, and gave the Bears their fourth straight individual and fifth overall for the year.
