AWENDAW, S.C. - The Baylor men's golf team shot 291, the fifth-best score of the day, in the second round of the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate on Monday afternoon. The Bears still sit in 15th place overall with one round remaining.

South Carolina leads the team competition at 2-under par for the tournament, while Matt Hill of North Carolina State leads the individual tournament, shooting 4-under par through 36 holes.

The scores were better across the board for the Bears on Monday, with the highest-counting score a 3-over par 74. Cody Paladino had the best second-round effort, shooting even-par 71 to finish at 5-over par. Colton Williams carded a 1-over par 72 to move to 7-over par after 36 holes.

Jeff Gerlich and Wes Williams carded 3-over par 74s on Monday, moving Williams to 9-over par and Gerlich to 11-over par. Bill Allcorn shot 80 on Monday to finish the second round at 14-over par.
