Baylor men's golf is in eighth place after Saturday's first round of the Aggie Invitational at Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas. The Bears shot 22-over-par 310 on Saturday and were 12-over with four holes remaining in the second round before play was suspended due to darkness.

Through 18 holes, Baylor (+22) trailed No. 8 Alabama (+1), No. 1 Oklahoma State (+7), No. 12 LSU (+12), Houston (+13), No. 2 Texas A&M (+14), No. 31 Kent State (+16) and North Texas (+18). The Bears led No. 6 Texas Tech (+23), Michigan (+23), No. 16 Arkansas (+24), New Mexico (+30), Denver (+33) and New Mexico State (+35).

Braden Bailey and Matthew Perrine carded the Bears' best first rounds at 2-over 74 to sit in a tie for 14th place in the 78-player field. Garrett May is tied for 39th place at 6-over 78, while Cooper Dossey and Colin Kober are tied for 69th place at 12-over 84. Dossey is playing in his first tournament this spring after missing the Bears' last four events with a wrist injury.

Kober and Dossey completed 15 holes in the second round before play was suspended, with both improving from their first-round scores. Dossey sits at 3-over and Kober is at 5-over with three holes remaining. May, Bailey and Perrine carded 14 holes in the second round, with Perrine and May both at 2-over and Bailey at 5-over.

• Baylor is tied for fourth in the 14-team field in par-3 scoring at 13-over 3.37.
• The Bears rank ninth in par-4 scoring at 33-over 4.37 and 10th in par-5 scoring at 5-over 5.14.
• Baylor's 92 pars were seventh-most in the field on Saturday.
Matthew Perrine is tied for ninth in the 78-player field with 22 pars across 32 holes.
Garrett May is tied for 13th with 21 pars across 32 holes.
Braden Bailey leads the team with five birdies across 32 holes.
• May and Bailey both made birdies on the par-3 second hole, accounting for two of the eight birdies made on the hole out of 156 attempts on Saturday.
Cooper Dossey birdied the par-4 14th hole in the second round, one of only five birdies made on the hole on Saturday.

Second round play will resume at 8 a.m. CT Sunday, and final round tee times also begin at 8 a.m. with players who completed two rounds on Saturday. Kober will be the first Bear off the tee at 9:17 a.m., and he'll be followed in 11-minute intervals by Dossey, Perrine, Bailey and May, respectively.
