Men's Golf Tied for 21st at NCAA Central Regional

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Baylor men's golf team shot 307 on Thursday morning to finish the first round of the NCAA Central Regional at 23-over par at the Scarlet Course. The Bears are tied for 21st place overall, and are just eight strokes out of 10th place and the final qualifying spot for the NCAA Championships.

Jeff Gerlich and Wes Williams led the way for Baylor on Thursday, each shooting 5-over par in the first round to tie for 55th overall. Colton Williams carded a 6-over par 77 in the first round to tie for 77th overall.

Cody Paladino shot 78 on Thursday to tie for 87th overall at 7-over par, while Bill Allcorn is tied for 119th at 9-over par.

Baylor returns to action on Friday afternoon with a first tee time at 12:12 p.m. local time off the first tee. Live scoring will be available all weekend at
