MANHATTAN, Kan. - Rain and strong winds delayed play today at the NCAA Central Regional at the 72-par, 7,228-yard Colbert Hills Golf Club in Manhattan, Kan. The weather hindered the Bears on the second day of the competition as they fell to 27th place.

After opening the tournament with a 289 on Thursday, the Baylor squad recorded a team total of 313 today. With a two-round total of 602, the Bears fell to 27th place. Illinois retained the team lead with a 36-hole total of 570 (275-295). North Carolina State is in second at 572 (283-289) followed by Oklahoma State with a 574 (285-289).

Sophomore Ryan Baca continued to lead the Baylor team. After opening the tournament with a 2-under 70 on Thursday, he carded a 76 today to finish the day tied for 40th place with a two-round total of 146. Junior Jon Antunes shot an even-par 72 yesterday, but slipped to a 77 to tally a two-round total of 149. He is tied for 70th. With rounds of 75 and 78, freshman Will McDonald is tied for 111th with a total of 153. Senior Trevar Matheson has recorded a 155 (73-82), which places him in a tie for 118th. Junior Will Doughtie also carded an 82 for today's round, slipping to a tie for 125th with a two-round total of 156.

North Carolina State's Jason Moon (66-71=137) and Judd Easterling (69-68=137) of Wichita State are tied for the individual lead.

The NCAA Central Regional will conclude with a single 18-hole round on Saturday.
