NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Aaron Pellegrom tied for medalist honors to lead Baylor to a second-place finish at the season- opening Stephen F. Austin-Crown Colony Classic Tuesday.

Pellegrom fired rounds of 73-76-73--222 at Crown Colony Country Club to tie Trey Pyka of Texas Tech.

The Bears shot 298-303-306--907 to finish behind team champion Lamar (304-298-311--904). Texas Tech took third at 908 and host SFA placed fourth at 922. The field included 18 teams.

Baylor's Jimmy Walker placed 3rd at 75-71-77--223 while Brandon Sanders took 18th with rounds of 76- 76-79--231. Johnathan Davison took 44th at 74-80- 84--238 and Troy Caesar placed 84th at 84-91-77-- 252.
