Aaron Pellegrom shot an amazing three-round score
of 207,
landing in first place to lead the Baylor men's
golf team to a fourth place
finish at the SMU Invitational, held September 20-
21 at Stone Bridge Country
Club in McKinney, Texas.
This is Pellegrom's second consecutive tournament
to finish in first place. He
ended at nine under par 65-71-71--207 to edge
Kent's Ben Curtis, a 1998 All-American who shot
67-
68-73--208.
The Bears finished the tournament on Tuesday with
a
combined score of 278-305-306--889,
placing behind Kent (871), North Texas (883) and
Texas A&M (884).
The Bears overall had outstanding finishes with
Troy Ceasar tying for 28th
place, with a final score of 227. Brandon Sanders
tied at 37, shooting an
overall 229. Jimmy Walker finished with a three-
round 233 score while Johnathon
Davison shot an overall 234.
The Bears will be back in competition on October
11-12 at the Red River
tournament in Dallas, Texas.
