Aaron Pellegrom fired rounds of 65 and 68 to stand
tied for second, two strokes off the lead of the
Red River Classic at Dallas Athletic Club in
Dallas.
Pellegrom is tied with Kent's Ben Curtis, who shot
identical scores and is also 11-under par. John
Bloomfield of South Carolina leads the tournament
at 13-under 65-66--131.
The Baylor team stands 11th in the 15-team field
at 7-under 284-285--569. South Carolina leads it
at 32-under 267-277--544. The Gamecocks broke the
tournament's 36-hole record with their score.
The Bears trail Oklahoma State, which shot
274-273--547 for second. Houston is third at 551,
SMU fourth at 557, Teas fifth at 559, Ohio State
and Kent sixth at 561, TCU eighth at 562, Brigham
Young ninth at 563 and Tulsa 10th at 568.
Baylor leads New Mexico, Southern California,
Oklahoma and Arizona.
Jimmy Walker is Baylor's No. 2 player heading into
the final day. He shot 74-68--142 for 35th. Troy
Caesar is 52nd at 72-72--144, Brandon Sanders 75th
at 73-77-150 and Worth Williams 83rd at
77-77--154.
