DALLAS - Heavy rains in the Dallas metropolitan area have forced play at the 2009 Baylor Intercollegiate to be suspended Monday mid-way through the second round at Royal Oaks Country Club.
The final 12 holes of the second round will begin Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. CDT and will be immediately followed by the final round. Live scoring for the final 30 holes of the 2009 Baylor Intercollegiate will be available at www.GolfStat.com.
At the time play was suspended, Iowa (5-over) led by one stroke, followed by Texas A&M (6-over) in second play. New Mexico (10-over), Texas (13-over) and SMU (14-over) round out the top five. Host Baylor, ranked 43rd in the latest Golfstat standings, is in sixth place at 15-over.
Baylor sophomore Joakim Mikkelsen sits atop the leaderboard in a three-way tie for first place at 1-under with Iowa's Vince India and Texas A&M's Cameron Peck. Tulsa's Arie Fauzi, New Mexico's John Catlin and Arkansas' David Lingmerth are tied for fourth place at even-par, while Chris Brant (Iowa) and John Hurley (Texas A&M) are tied for seventh at 1-over. Nine golfers are tied for ninth place at 2-over.
Lorenzo Scotto is tied for 26th at 4-over, while Cody Paladino and individuals Austin Berkovsky and Michael McKinley are all tied in 28th place at 5-over. Payne Gniewek shot 8-over, followed by Morten Bergan at 9-over.
